Naomi R Fogel

Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Endocrinology)

I am a clinical pediatric endocrinologist with a focus on the care of children with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. I work as part of a multidisciplinary team that aims to provide comprehensive care to support families living with diabetes. I also care for children with thyroid disorders, growth disorders, PCOS and disorders of puberty.

Ami B Patel

Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Infectious Diseases)

I am a Pediatric Infectious Diseases specialist and Associate Medical Director of Infection Prevention and Control at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. I joined the faculty in October 2019 after completing fellowship at New York University School of Medicine. I have an interest in healthcare epidemiology, infection prevention and control, and health-care associated infections. Through my role in our infection prevention and control program, I have had the opportunity to assist with our institutions's COVID-19 response. 

Steven E Krug

Professor of Pediatrics (Emergency Medicine)

My primary areas of interest lie within the broad continuum of emergency medical services for children (EMSC). I am interested in issues relating to pediatric readiness of the various components of the EMSC continuum, including prehospital and hospital-based services. Within the realm of pediatric emergency care, i am interested in a variety of clinical issues, including care quality and patient safety. More recently, I have focused on issues relating to pediatric disaster preparedness. My interests in EMSC also include public policy and health care access.

Alanna Higgins Joyce

Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Hospital-Based Medicine) and Medical Education

I am a hospital-based pediatrician and the Pediatric Clerkship Director for the Feinberg School Of Medicine 3rd-year medical students. Interests include medical education and curriculum, mentoring and advising, inpatient general pediatrics and newborn medicine.

Theresa Moulton

Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy and Human Movement Sciences and Pediatrics

Dr. Sukal-Moulton is a faculty member with a primary appointment in the Physical Therapy and Human Movement Sciences Department, where she teaches in the Lifespan, Treatment of Patients with Neurological Dysfunction, Complex Patients, and Electrophysical Agents curriculum, with a focus on pediatrics. 

Rebecca Unger

Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics (Community Based Primary Care)

Dr Unger is a general pediatrician and offers well child care from birth through adolescence. She has a special interest in nutrition, prevention and treatment of childhood obesity, and family fitness.

Tina Q Tan

Professor of Pediatrics (Infectious Diseases)

Dr. Tan is Professor of Pediatrics at the Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University, and a Pediatric Infectious Diseases attending; Medical Director of the International Patient Services Program (IPS); co-Director of the Pediatric Travel Medicine Clinic; and Director of the International Adoptee Clinic at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, Chicago, Illinois. Peggy Gatsinos

I have a particular interest in urgent care/emergency medicine pediatric care as well as the education of residents and medical students.

David G Ritacco

Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Neurology and Epilepsy)

I am a child neurologist with particular interest in neurology of the newborn. After medical research in physiology as an undergraduate, I pursued research in the psychophysics of vision as a medical student, and was awarded a PhD in neurobiology. I am currently pursuing clinical research, primarily regarding neurological issues in the newborn, including stroke, hypoxic ischemic injury, and use of therapeutic hypothermia.
