Description: Staphylococcus aureus is a leading cause of hospital-acquired late-onset sepsis in NICU patients. Multiple strategies to reduce the prevalence of S. aureus in the NICU are available. Dr. Aaron Milstone will discuss the evidence driving these strategies, the outcomes reported with their implementation, and the pros and cons of adopting one or more of these strategies. The session will end with a panel discussion moderated by Drs. Sailaja Ghanta and David Kaufman.
