Workshop
Description: This will be an interactive workshop surrounding complexities of caring for patients with end-stage renal disease requiring dialysis and transplantation. How do we navigate issues such as complex social situations, consent, DEI, alternative belief systems, and medical mistrust while remaining advocates for our patients and families? How do we decide what is best for each patient/family? What medico-legal responsibilities do we have? How does this affect the medical team? How to manage personal biases/feelings in the setting of caring for patients and families with whom the therapeutic alliance has been damaged?
