Description: APA Academic Urgent Care SIG: Using passion for advocacy to power promotionMany pediatricians are passionate about advocacy work but are not sure how to turn their passions into a career niche and make their advocacy work count for promotion. Bring your CV and your questions about getting involved, finding mentors and networking, and turning your community work, volunteerism, and non-traditional academic activities into scholarship. Following a 10-minute introduction, we will hear from experts in a variety of areas of advocacy and end with a panel discussion answering audience questions on presenting this work for promotion.

highlight advocacy work on their CV and promotion materials.
