Session

Description: Evidence Based Medicine: Launch into the futurePart 1 of the session will explore the differences and similarities between IBM (information-based medicine) and EBM (evidence-based medicine) and how they each impact clinical decision making.
Part 2 of the session will focus on improving critical appraisal skills through the use of an interactive workshop
Part 3 of the session will allow for an open discussion and exchange of ideas on ways to create and share innovative EBM curriculum and programs

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion, participants will be able to describe the difference between Evidence-Based Medicine and Information-Based Medicine
Upon completion, participants will be able to apply the methods of critical appraisal to their own practice of Evidence-Based Medicine
Upon completion, participants will be able identify different innovative institutional approaches to teaching Evidence-Based Medicine
