Want to hear some of the hottest issues related to pediatric clinical trials being debated by experts in the field? The Pediatric Trials Network (PTN) will be hosting a rapid-fire debate session to address controversies such as: 1) the most important types of studies that should be done to move the field of pediatric therapeutics forward; and 2) whether and how pediatric participants should be incentivized to participate in drug and device studies. Attendees will listen to arguments on both sides of these topics and vote on the winners. Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn more about PTN and engage in discussions with the investigators leading the network. PTN studies the formulation, dosing, efficacy, and safety of drugs, as well as the development of medical devices, used in pediatric patients. PTN is funded by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) under the Best Pharmaceutics for Children Act. Duke Clinical Research institute serves as the clinical coordinating center and the Emmes Company, LLC serves as the data coordinating center for PTN.
