Workshop
Description: There has been a recent explosion in resources and activities to identify and address personal and structural racism and their effects on physical and mental health. Thankfully, much of this work is occurring in the medical education realm, including in Pediatrics. However, there is less scholarly work related to these efforts, as well as less awareness of the studies that already exist in the literature. This workshop seeks to decrease some barriers to the creation of scholarship by sharing ideas for scholarly work related to Anti-Racism work and creating a space for inter-institutional conversations that may lead to collaboration.
This workshop aims to:
1. Cultivate participants’ awareness and knowledge of scholarly work related to Anti-Racism efforts and
2. Provide participants a collaborative opportunity to work across institutions to plan future studies in this important area
