Session
Description: Welcome to Washington, DC, for our 2023 SIG meeting - where our motto will be: if you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far, go together.
Together, the Continuity SIG (which focuses on education and patient care in longitudinal settings) and the Group Care SIG (which promotes shared medical appointments to meet the quadruple aim) will have 3 hours to get far!
We will open with introductions and updates about Continuity SIG activities including CORNET, RRC changes, and special projects. The Group Care SIG will outline the process of shared medical appointments and describe how they've been used in continuity settings. In small groups, all will take up our APA past-president's call to become better Generalist Specialists - maximizing the care that pediatricians provide within the primary care setting (and we'll consider if we can use group practice as one of the many tools to do that). We'll follow with the ever-popular Quick Conti Consults and wrap up with plans for future meetings & webinars.
